Dedicated mentor support

Startups will be paired with an experienced mentor who will provide guidance to navigate within the RTA ecosystem and unlock opportunities for collaboration and growth throughout their journey in the programme.

Startups will have the chance to deploy and pilot their solutions in real-world settings within Dubai, allowing them to gather valuable insights, validate their concepts, and refine their offerings for market readiness.

Workspace

Selected startups will have access to a fully equipped co-working space at one of RTA’s state-of-the-art facilities, fostering collaboration with experts and mentors from the RTA.

Legal and regulatory guidance

The program assists startups in understanding and meeting the requirements to operate in Dubai while also providing clarity on expectations following the pilot phase.

Financial support

Programme journey

From selection to success

Explore the path designed to propel your startup toward success. The journey begins with selecting high-potential startups and continues through developing a pilot with the RTA. From personalized mentorship and strategic support to valuable networking opportunities, this programme equips you with the resources and connections needed to grow your business and create a lasting impact in the mobility sector in Dubai.

Registration phase

Startups can apply to participate in the programme during the application window, which opens in early January and closes in mid-February. This phase invites startups to showcase their potential and readiness to join the ScaleUp programme.


10th of Feb 2025

Selection process

In this phase, the most aligning applicants will undergo 4 stages: eligibility review, interview, final assessment, selection of 3 finalists


1st to 15th of Feb 2025

Onboarding to ScaleUp Mobility

The 3 selected startups will be announced in February, during UAE Innovation Month. These winners will officially join the ScaleUp Mobility programme, marking the beginning of their journey toward growth and impact in Dubai's mobility sector.

28th of Feb 2025

Acceleration programme

Startups will engage in a tailored acceleration phase, receiving personalized mentoring, access to RTA’s facilities, real-world testing opportunities, regulatory guidance, and participation in networking events.

This phase focuses on supporting in the development of the Pilot and opening doors to partnerships and business opportunities


March 2025 till May 2025

Closing ceremony

The program concludes with an event that showcases the achievements of the participating startups. This ceremony highlights the progress and impact made during the programme and marks the beginning of their continued growth journey.


June 2025

Exit strategies

The ScaleUp programme provides startups with pathways for post-program collaborations, potential equity investment opportunities, and long-term partnerships with RTA and other stakeholders to expand their growth and impact in the mobility sector.

The ScaleUp Mobility programme is open to startups that are innovative, legally registered, and aligned with RTA’s objectives for the future of mobility. Startups should have a functional product or solution, be in the scale-up stage, and demonstrate the potential and intent to make a significant impact on Dubai’s mobility ecosystem. Both local and international startups are encouraged to apply.

Startups can apply through the programme website by completing the application form and submitting the required documents during the registration phase.

The deadline to apply for the ScaleUp Mobility programme is in mid-February, and the final 3 startups to be announced towards the end of February during UAE Innovation Month.

The programme consists of three phases: Registration (January to mid-February), Selection (February), and Acceleration (March to June). The Closing Ceremony will be held in June.

No, the ScaleUp Mobility programme is open to both local and international startups. It welcomes innovative companies from around the world that are eager to establish a footprint in the future of mobility in the UAE.

Citizens of most countries are eligible for a visa on arrival when traveling to the UAE. If you require a supporting letter for your visa application, we will be happy to provide one to assist you.

Yes, all workshops in the ScaleUp Mobility programme will be conducted in English. Mentoring will also primarily be in English unless you are matched with a mentor who speaks a mutual language.

The ScaleUp Mobility programme is targeting startups that see themselves as innovative leaders and envision becoming a vital part of Dubai's mobility future. While we prioritize ventures focused on the region's market and resources, we also welcome startups with aspirations to expand their footprint globally in the future.

Yes, selected startups are required to stay in Dubai throughout the programme. This ensures participation in customized workshops designed by RTA specifically for each startup, as well as the opportunity to work on the pilot project within an RTA facility located in Dubai.

The ScaleUp Mobility programme focuses on startups with ideas that contribute to the future of mobility in Dubai. Only feasible concepts that align with RTA’s objectives for the near future will be selected, ideas unrelated to the mobility sector will not be considered.

The workshops will be conducted by industry experts, RTA representatives, and experienced mentors who specialize in mobility and innovation. These sessions are designed to provide valuable insights and guidance tailored to the needs of participating startups.
